Spiritual Quote

If you could only keep quiet, clear of memories and expectations, you would be able
to discern the beautiful pattern of events. Its your restlessness that causes chaos.
Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words
positive because your words become your behaviors. Keep your behaviors positive
because your behaviors become your habits. Keep your habits positive because your
habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your
destiny.

think. The truth is that you are responsible for what you think, because it is only
at this level that you can exercise choice. What you do comes from what you think.

The other is as though everything is a miracle.

Since you alone are responsible for your thoughts, only you can change them. You
will want to change them when you realize that each thought creates according to its
own nature. Remember that the law works at all times and that you are always
demonstrating according to the kind of thoughts you habitually entertain. Therefore,
start now to think only those thoughts that will bring you health and happiness.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
A man's mind may be likened to a garden, which may be intelligently cultivated or
allowed to run wild; but whether cultivated or neglected, it must, and will, bring
forth. If no useful seeds are put into it, then an abundance of useless weed seeds
will fall therein, and will continue to produce their kind. Just as a gardener
cultivates his plot, keeping it free from weeds, and growing the flowers and fruits
which he requires, so may a man tend the garden of his mind, weeding out all the
wrong, useless, and impure thoughts, and cultivating toward perfection the flowers
and fruits of right, useful, and pure thoughts, By pursuing this process, a man
sooner or later discovers that he is the master gardener of his soul, the director
of his life. He also reveals, within himself, the laws of thought, and understands
with ever-increasing accuracy, how the thought forces and mind elements operate in
the shaping of his character, circumstances, and destiny.
James Allen
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Right now, and in every now-moment, you are either closing or opening. You are
either stressfully waiting for something - more money, security, affection - or you
are living from your deep heart, opening as the entire moment, and giving what you
most deeply desire to give, without waiting.
David Deida
--------------------------------------------------------------------
You must understand the whole of life, not just one little part of it. That is why
you must read, that is why you must look at the skies, that is why you must sing and
dance, and write poems, and suffer, and understand, for all that is life.
Jiddu Krishnamurti

past, present, and to come, are gently planned by One Whose only purpose is your
good?

Each person comes into this world with a specific destiny--he has something to
fulfill, some message has to be delivered, some work has to be completed. You are
not here accidentally--you are here meaningfully. There is a purpose behind you. The
whole intends to do something through you.
Osho

The Buddha's teachings on love are clear. It is possible to live twenty-four hours a
day in a state of love. Every movement, every glance, every thought, and every word
can be infused with love.
Thich Nhat Hanh

Heaven on Earth is a choice you must make, not a place you must find.
Wayne Dyer
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Who cares if you're enlightened forever? Can you just get it in this moment, now?
Byron Katie
--------------------------------------------------------------------
It is only the minority of people who seek self-improvement or personal growth. This
is because whatever one's self-criticisms, one secretly really believes that one's
way of being is okay and probably the only correct one. They are alright as they
are, and all problems are caused by other people's selfishness, unfairness, and by
the external world.
David R. Hawkins
--------------------------------------------------------------------
"Why is everyone here so happy except me?" "Because they have learned to see
goodness and beauty everywhere," said the Master. "Why don't I see goodness and
beauty everywhere?" "Because you cannot see outside of you what you fail to see
inside."
Anthony De Mello
--------------------------------------------------------------------
There comes a time when the pain of continuing exceeds the pain of stopping. At that
moment, a threshold is crossed. What seemed unthinkable becomes thinkable. Slowly,
the realization emerges that the choice to continue what you have been doing is the
choice to live in discomfort, and the choice to stop what you have been doing is the
choice to breathe deeply and freely again. Once that realization has emerged, you
can either honor it or ignore it, but you cannot forget it. What has become known
can not become unknown again.
Gary Zukav
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Would you rather be right or free?
Byron Katie
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Everything we do, everything we are, rests on our personal power. If we have enough
of it, one word is enough to change the course of our lives. If we don't, the most
magnificent piece of wisdom can be revealed to us and that revelation won't make a
damn bit of difference. Do you know that at this very moment you are surrounded by
eternity? And do you know you can use that eternity, if you so desire? Do you know
that you can extend yourself forever in any direction and use it to take the
totality of yourself forever in any direction? Do you know that one moment can be
eternity? If you had enough personal power, my words alone would serve as a means to
round up the totality of yourself and get to the crucial part of it out of the
boundaries in which it is contained.
Carlos Castaneda
--------------------------------------------------------------------
You must have a room,or a certain hour or so a day, where you don't know what was in
the newspaper that morning, you don't know who your friends are, you don't know what
you owe anybody, you don't know what anybody owes you. This is a place where you can
simply experience and bring forth what you are and what you might be.
Joseph Campbell

--------------------------------------------------------------------
"My desire for knowledge is intermittent; but my desire to commune with the spirit
of the universe, to be intoxicated with the fumes, call it, of that divine nectar,
to bear my head through atmospheres and over heights unknown to my feet, is
perennial and constant."
~Henry David Thoreau ~
--------------------------------------------------------------------
"Spirit is an invisible force made visible in all life."
~Maya Angelou~
--------------------------------------------------------------------
"The dark night of the soul comes just before revelation."
